At Connecting Dots 4 Kids, we are dedicated to supporting young children, their families, and their communities to thrive. We provide capacity‑building services for children, families, and early‑learning settings across Gawler, the Yorke Peninsula, and surrounding regions.
Our team has extensive experience working with children with diverse needs, offering a flexible and mobile Occupational Therapy service tailored to each child. We also partner with education services through universal and targeted group supports which include flexible whole‑site consultations and supports, co-run targeted group supports, and customized professional development with a focus on emotional maturity, physical health and wellbeing, social competence, cognitive and play skills, daily living skills and inclusive practices.
We pride ourselves on being a flexible, collaborative, culturally responsive, and inclusive practice. Our staff engage in regular training to stay up-to-date with current best practice. We welcome feedback at any stage and work closely with families and communities to ensure our services continue to meet their needs.
Yorke Peninsula: Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00am–5:00pm
Gawler: Mondays and Tuesdays, 9:00am–3:00pm
One‑off consultative appointments outside these hours may be arranged when needed—for example, to meet with teachers or attend meetings.
Our service is collaborative and goal‑focused. When working with individual children, therapy is typically time‑limited for most families. We value the time we spend with children, but we also recognise that family life, school commitments, and other priorities may take precedence at different stages. Sometimes children benefit from taking a break from therapy to consolidate their skills, while others may require longer‑term support.
For children needing ongoing, regular therapy, families will be asked to book sessions on a term‑by‑term basis. Parent reviews are held toward the end of each term to ensure therapy continues to align with the child’s and family’s goals.
We maintain a short waiting list for cancellations; however, we cannot guarantee a specific waiting period before services commence. When appointments become available, families are contacted based on their needs and our availability in their area. To manage wait times responsibly, we may need to close to new referrals at certain times.
Please contact us directly with any questions about service availability or to discuss how we can best support your child or early‑learning centre.
