Assessments
At the initial assessment, the Occupational Therapist will want to get to know you and your child. They will ask lots of questions to understand your child's strengths and challenges, as well as to understand their issues in the context of daily life. From there, the therapist will make a plan with you about further assessment, including formal assessments, and also discuss what therapy and/or support we may be able to offer your child moving forward. Our therapist has extensive experience in both formal and informal assessments and therefore is happy to informally assess your child however we are also aware from time to time, formal assessment may be required, i.e. to provide evidence to a Paediatrician towards diagnosis.
